RICK FERGUSON

WINTER WONDERLAND WEDDING

PATRIOTIC WEDDING

We thank God for the gift of eternal life and for walking through this life with us.  We anxiously await the day when we will meet him face to face, and ask that God will keep us ever mindful of how we live, that everything we say and do will be honored by our Lord, whether in the public eye or  alone when just Jesus knows what we do and what we think. We pray that God will bless the ministry of The Berry Brothers, that souls will be led to the Lord, and that Christians will be brought closer to Christ.

Clyde Berry

Clyde had surgery at Missouri Baptist Hospital on December 28, 2005 to remove a malignant tumor from his colon.  Doctors removed a little over a foot of his bowel and pathology reports returned negative.  No metastasisation whatsoever!  No need for radiology or chemotherapy!  Thank you for your prayers!

ALAYNA GRACE UPDATE: April 18, 2005

Alayna Grace returned to school in February after having surgery for her severe pneumonia in December. She has since had strep throat 3 times, and her parents are considering having her tonsils removed as they harbor the virus. She is presently well, but finishing another round of antibiotics.  She will be the hen in a school performance of "The Little Red Hen" on Tuesday, April 19th.

Alayna Grace Berry

The Berry families have witnessed another one of God's great miracles this Christmas and want to be careful to give Him ALL the glory, ALL the honor, and ALL the praise what He's done for Alayna Grace, Alan and Marilyn Berry's 6-year-old daughter.  She was admitted to Parkland Hospital on December 20, 2004 with pneumonia. Her condition worsened while on IV antibiotics. She was transferred to St. Louis Children's Hospital on December 22nd where doctors found it necessary to operate to remove 600 cc of strep infection from her left lung.  They also removed layers of infection from her heart, diaphragm, and intestines and repaired her collapsed lung.  She was released from the hospital on December 26th, and we are extremely grateful to God for keeping her in His care and grateful to those of you who kept her in your prayers.  It looks like doctors will allow her to back to school in early February.

This was a difficult week for Alayna. In addition to feeling her worst, her fears were heightened when thoughts came to mind of her older sister, Lexi, who had leukemia and died at the age 6 with pneumonia. Her parents assured Alayna that her situation was nothing like Lexi's and that she was not going to die.

Secondly, several years ago, The Berry Brothers' first cousin, Beth Durbin Standley, died from a violent strand of streptococcus (Jim Henson's Disease) that shut down her organs one at a time. When Alayna's less-aggressive strep started spreading to other organs, family concerns multiplied.  I'll never forget the weak smile on Alayna's face and faint speech from her voice the day after her surgery as she said, "Hey, guess what?!  I'm A LOT better!"  We cried with relief and praised our Lord for His graciousness!

Click here to meet Elica Williams

We ask your prayers for Elica Williams and her father, Matt who are from Minnith where Steve Berry preaches.  Elica had Ecoli virus in October, 2001, and was in the hospital for months.  Her father was the donor the kidney Elica received during an operation on June 15, 2005.

Dr. Rick E. Ferguson
     July 19, 1956 - July 25, 2002

"Not I, but Christ"

God, in His sovereign knowledge and love, has called our dear friend, Rick Ferguson, home on July 25, 2002. Though he is no longer with us, the vision and love for the church and its ministries will continue through others God has called into His service.

Dr. Rick E. Ferguson touched many lives through his ministry and will continue to do so through his many videotaped sermons, sermons on cassette, and through his 18 years as a pastor and teaching about Jesus.  Rick lived his life not for himself, but for Christ. His humbleness, heart of love, concern for the lost, and his devotion to our Lord is a perfect example of who we all should be. Please pray for his family, for Riverside Baptist Church, and for the endurance of his ministry for Christ.

We had the great honor of singing once again with Rick just 3 weeks before his death at his church at Riverside Baptist in Denver, Colorado.  Rick sang with Steve and Alan when they were young teenagers in a gospel group called,  The Young Messengers.

We will miss you, dearest and closest friend.
